SIM is the abbreviation of the Subscriber Identity Module, also known as smart card or the user identification card. All Samsung Galaxy phones must be loaded with SIM before they can be used. It’s no exaggeration to say that SIM are our passes for mobile phones. Without the SIM card, we would not be able to access our phone.

Next, connect your Samsung Galaxy phone to the computer via a USB cable. Please make sure you have opened USB debugging on your phone.
Tips: If your Android os version is above 4.2.2, there will be a pop up message on your phone. Tap on Yes to allow USB debugging on your device.
Part 1. For Samsung S2~S4, Note 1~Note 3
Dial *#0808# or ##3424# or #9090# on your Samsung Galaxy phone. One of the 3 will work on your model and you will enter USB Settings / Diagnostic / Service Mode.
When you are in Service Mode, you can choose the DM + MODEM + ADB or UART[*] or CDMA MODEM option, and then hit “Unlock”.
Then, the program will begin to SIM unlock on your Samsung Galaxy phone, which will take a few minutes, and please do not disconnect your phone from your computer.
When your Samsung Galaxy phone is successfully unlocked, your phone needs to drop out of “Service” mode. So you need to enter *#0808# or ##3424# or #9090# on your phone and select MTP + ADB or USB[*] or PDA in the menu.

Part 2. For Samsung Galaxy S3~S7
