Step 1. Launch Samsung Kies and Connect Your Samsung Device
Launch the Samsung Kies on your computer, then take out an USB cable to connect your Samsung phone or tablet to Samsung Kies. Once your device is recognized by the program, choose “Backup & Restore” option and press “Data backup”.
Step 2. Back Up the Selected Data to Kies
As the above pop-up window you can see, Samsung Kies allows you to back up contacts, memo, planner, call log and message, video, music and photo from your device. According to your need, tick the check boxes in front of the items you wanted, you can also check “Select all items” option to select all. After that, click on “Backup”, the program will automatically back them up for you.
Note: Please keep your Samsung device connected and wait patiently before the backup completed. If done, click on “Complete” button to close the dialog.
Step 1. Choose Backup Files
Run Samsung Kies and connect your Samsung, click “Backup & Restore” option and choose “Restore data”. On this window, press the “Select folder” button to select and load a previous backup file.
Step 2. Restore Whatever Data You Wanted to Samsung Device
After selecting a backup file, the program will automatically extract all the recoverable data from backup files. Select the data you want and click “Restore” to regain your lost or deleted data.
