Steps to Recover Deleted Contacts/Phone Number from Samsung Note 5

Step 1. Connect your Samsung Note 5 to the computer

Firstly, you need to download and install the Android Data Recovery on your computer and run it. Next, find and click “Data Recovery” from the main interface.

Next, connect your Samsung Note 5 to the computer using the USB line. When the phone is connected to the computer, the phone will pop up a window, you need to open the USB debugging. Or you won’t be able to go on.

Note: If your Android os version is 4.2.2 or above, there will be a pop up message on your Android phone, tap on “OK” to allow USB debugging.

Step 2. Select file types that you want to scan

When the phone is successfully connected, you need to check the file type to scan. By default, all items are checked. You can also only check the contact, and then click “Next”.

Step 3. Select scan mode and scan your Note 5

Next, you need to choose a suitable scan mode. As you can see, there are two modes, namely “Standard mode” and “Advanced mode”. Select one of the modes, click “Start” to let the program begin scan your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for the lost content.

During the scanning, please conform the notes as follow:

1. Please do not disconnect your device.
2. Select the directory on the left to preview the data thta has been scanned.
3. Recovery success will vary depending on how the data was lost, and the devices condition. Unscanned files may have been overwritten by new data crated on the device after the initial data loss.

Note: There might be a Superuser authorization appearing on your device during the scan. If you get it, click “Allow” to continue. If not, just skip this step.

Step 4. Preview and restore the deleted contacts selectively

When the scan is completed, you can preview the all the scanned file. Find the contacts you want to restore, check it, and then click on “Recover” to get them all back to your computer.

The found data are both existing and deleted data. If you just want to see the deleted data, you can open the button of “Display deleted files only” or use the search function on the top right.
